The Return Of The Observatory

The Observatory is back in Campbelltown, with a new location and name.

Formerly known as the UWS Rotary Obsevatory, it is now called the Campbelltown Rotary Observatory and it is located in a prominent postion at the rear of the Western Sydney University (formerly UWS), overlooking the new residential suburb of Macarthur Heights and the Gates of Light.

A new plaque has been provided but strangely it does not mention the original opening in 2000 or the short relocation in 2015:

The new location is elevated and gives a great view of the sky:
