Just south of Campbelltown lies the Dharawal National Park. The entrance to the park is in Victoria Road, Wedderburn.
An easy one and a half kilometre walk along a broad fire trail with some beautiful gum trees takes you to a right hand turn off and a short walk to the O’Hares Creek Lookout, which provides a wide panoramic view across the gorge and tempting glimpses of O’Hares Creek far below.
We met no other person while we were in the park until we bumped into a solitary local resident taking his daily walk near the exit, just as we were leaving.

Getting there:
Directions: From Campbelltown, follow Appin Road, Woodland Road, Karrabul Road, Wedderburn Road, Minerva Road, & Lysaght Road .
Then take a left turn and drive along Victoria Road to the park entrance gate.
Walk down the fire trail and follow the U shape. When the trail straightens out and just before reaching the left hand junction, turn right along a narrow sealed footpath to the lookout.
